The brief
City College Plymouth is the number 1 college in the South West, playing a huge role in the economy and social life of Plymouth. This year marked the college’s 130th anniversary and they wanted to celebrate the occasion with a brand campaign that raised the college’s profile both internally and externally across the city.
Our solution
To celebrate the college’s contribution to life of the city we proposed a heavy-weight poster and social media campaign throughout Plymouth. Featuring both current students and alumni the campaign ran under the copyline ‘I AM CITY COLLEGE’ and showcased the college success stories. Running alongside the posters and online campaign, we also produced a 30 second cinema film. This told the college’s story from its Victorian origins as a technical college, to the present day.
The results
We are incredibly proud of City College and the contribution it makes to our students’ lives and careers. So, this year, with the occasion of our 130th anniversary, we had a great excuse for a brand campaign that really celebrated our success stories.
This campaign puts our students and the college itself, front and centre across poster sites and cinema screens in a memorable and inspiring way. The reaction both internally and externally has been very positive.
